We are finishing our assessments with the children. You will receive a copy once they are all completed. Please note that we are aware that your child may be able to do some of the things asked, but either refused or was unable to do so at the time they were assessed. If you have any questions about your child’s progress and would like to set up a meeting with their teacher, please let us know. 

 

We are excited to have NC Lions KidSight Program offer a free vision screening to the children this year! They will be doing this on Tuesday, November 19th and Wednesday, November 20th. A permission form will be sent home with the children to participate in the screening. Please return this form as soon as possible.

 

This month’s Safety Class will be on Choking, Strangulation & Suffocation Prevention. Medic Melaine will be teaching the children what to do to prevent this from happening.

 

November finds us talking about Thanksgiving and all that we are thankful for with the children. As we teach the children about thankfulness, we also want to teach them that they can help other children, too!  Each year the members of Mt. Pleasant Church and surrounding communities collect items for the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. You may pick up a box during drop-off or pick-up and return when you have it ready.  The deadline to turn in the boxes is Friday, November 22nd.

 

We will be closed on Friday, November 1st for Teacher’s Workday & Monday, November 11th for Veteran’s Day.  Our Thanksgiving break will be Wednesday, November 27th– Sunday, December 1st. I hope everyone takes the time to thank God for all they have!

 

Looking ahead:  The Preschool Children’s Christmas Program will be Wednesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 19th at 11:00 am. The preschool will be closed on Friday, December 20th – Sunday, January 5th for our Christmas, and New Year’s break.
