JANUARY PRESCHOOL NEWS
Our Christmas program will be Wednesday, December 17th for the MWF classes and Thursday, December 18th for the TTH classes. It will be at 11:00 am in the CLC which is directly above the preschool classrooms. The program will be followed by a covered dish meal. Parents are asked to bring a covered dish(es) and/or dessert to share with everyone (a good rule of thumb is to bring enough food for the number of members attending in your family). The Preschool will provide drinks, plates, cups, napkins, and utensils. The children will not bring lunches on these last two days and will need to arrive at 8:50 am as usual. Families are invited to celebrate with us on this festive occasion. Please make sure that a family member is present to be responsible for your child after the program. The staff will be busy assisting with the serving of the meal.
Parents will be emailed a tuition statement at the end of this month through Procare with the amount paid for their child’s 2025 tuition. Our tax id is located on this form and can be used when filing your taxes for 2025. Please let me know if you don’t receive it by January 31st.
This month’s Safety Class with Medic Melanie will be Stranger Danger & Gun Safety. The kids will learn the safe thing to do if they encounter either of these things.
Pastor Kaleb is doing a wonderful job with Chapel Time. The children enjoy singing songs and learning about Jesus.
Miss Hilary with Stretch-n-Grow will also be back to teach the children the importance of eating healthily and exercising.
Two things I would like to remind parents:
-
Please check your address and contact numbers on Procare to make sure everything is correct so we can reach you in case of an emergency.
-
The children are to remain in their cars until a staff member is there to escort them inside the building. These are preschoolers and they can be unpredictable with their actions. We do this to ensure safety for all the children.
Looking ahead:
The preschool will be closed January 1st-5th and January 19th in accordance with the Catawba County school calendar.
Keep in mind, registration will begin in February for current preschoolers and church members. Registration will open to the public in March. This year we had classes filled up and had to turn children away. You will need to register early to make sure your child has a spot in one of our classes next year. The children currently attending preschool have the first two weeks of February to turn in their application and registration fee to reserve their same days attending for the next preschool year. You are NOT automatically guaranteed the same schedule unless we have received your application and registration fee.
